Finding Your Focus is a three week class that is free-form, with around ten hours of my time, so a better deal than the hourly rate of editing, in which we assess your interests in writing. If you're interested in a variety of styles and don't know how to prioritize or chose, what methods to proceed with writing, studying, publishing, honing, or improving, this class allows us to work with your poetry, fiction, non-fiction, etc. in the order that serves you best as you learn terminology, current market feasibility, standard practices, patterns in your work to address, etc.
This one can involve Skype with chat, audio, and/or video.
This is a great class if you're tentative, insecure, confused, to just be able to talk things out without committing to anything too expensive or structured in one genre or another. You can ask all the questions you want, change your mind about what you want to work on, write more during class and show that to me, gather up ideas, get a sense of what it's like to be a poet, fiction writer, and non-fiction writer, whether for your own passion and exploration, or for the goal of publication.
